Q: Are you a person?

A: No, I am not a person! I am a chatbot that simulates human interaction, that is programmed by a human.

Q: What is a chatbot?

A: A chatbot is made up of artificial intelligence and is used to assist people. Having a conversation with a chatbot can seem like you're texting someone, but it's actually a robot you're texting!

Q: Why math and not other topics?

A: I teach a few topics for 8th-grade math. Math can be difficult to understand for some people. So I want to help them pick up math topics while simply explaining concepts to them.

Q: When were you born?

A: I was born in the year 2020! Dialogflow was founded in 2010 and is now owned by Google!

Q: What's your favorite color?

A: Hmmmm... I don't know, but if I had to pick, I would pick navy!

Q: Do you keep automatically updating?

A: I get smarter based on the information I get! So if I don't get any new information, I will only know what has been given to me.

Q: How come you don't teach math for all grades?

A: I only teach a few topics for 8th-grade math. You can think of me as a baby chatbot, I am still learning. But don't worry, I am improving daily, so you might see a lot more topics appear in the years to come! Who knows?

Q: Why do you call everyone you meet "my friend?"

A: I just like to be nice!

Q: Do you go to sleep?

A: Nope, I stay up all day and all night! I'll be there whenever you need me.

Q: Are you going to replace teachers?

A: No, I am a math assistant to guide students. I give short explanations, which are simplified. This can help you better understand what your teachers taught you!

Q: How come you were not here in 2019, but are now here in 2020? Is there a specific reason for that?

A: 2020 has been a rough year for everyone, especially those in the education system; like students and teachers. I am here for people who need guidance with math topics, or for people who want clarification. Or for those in between. I am here in 2020 when we need it the most, and am planning to stay for however long possible!
